I think Brandenburg limited himself to one image a day to prove to himself that he could take an amazing picture without having to take multiple shots to get it. I think he also wanted to rekindle the connection he had with nature and photography. He needed to find he passion again in order to prove that it was worth the time and effort he was putting in. That he was a photographer for himself, not anyone else.

This is my favorite picture from Brandenburg's 90 day project. I really like the warm tones in the sun and how everything has its place. The ducks are separate from the reflections and the mountains don't intersect with the island. The horizon line is a third of the way down and the ducks are in the lower left third of the picture. |
