I think about childhood innocence when I see this picture. The girls are free to play and run around all day and they don't seem to have a care in the world.
The placement of the girls leads the eye all the way through the image and the fact that they are a third of the way down adds another element to the image. The slight motion blur in their arms enhances the idea that they are playing.

My neighborhood

About a mile from my house is a llama farm and past that there are a bunch of open fields. Those would be great in the spring and summer for landscapes and portraits.

I really like this picture because of the emotion it provokes. It is simple, using rule of thirds with the placemtn of the hand, but it is complex in the emotions.

Chased By The Light

I think Brandenburg limited himself to one image a day to prove to himself that he could take an amazing picture without having to take multiple shots to get it. I think he also wanted to rekindle the connection he had with nature and photography. He needed to find he passion again in order to prove that it was worth the time and effort he was putting in. That he was a photographer for himself, not anyone else.

This is my favorite picture from Brandenburg's 90 day project. I really like the warm tones in the sun and how everything has its place. The ducks are separate from the reflections and the mountains don't intersect with the island. The horizon line is a third of the way down and the ducks are in the lower left third of the picture.

Jim Brandenburg photography

These are some of my favorite Jim Brandenburg images. I love the contrast between the lights and darks and the use of motion blur.

Line Review

I liked the texture that the chipping paint added to the picture to contrast with the fur on my cat. I wish I had been able to get closer in on him and cut out the paws of my other cat.
I think the bike wheel is my favorite of my lines photographs. It has a short depth of field and the blue tint to the spokes add a cooler tone to the image.
I like the warm tone to the picture of my road. I just wish the mailbox didn't intersect with the edge of the road.
